Beware of Information on Your Book Page:

by Jerrye Sumrall

I have had a book listed with Amazon for several years now. I've never had a complaint, but recently I found two Sponsored Links ( Find Jerry Sumrall) at the bottom of my book page. I think that the Sponsored Links are a violation of my privacy as they are links to personal information about me and even family members.

After several emails and even one phone call to their corporate office, I finally found the right department to contact. I filled out their Book Content Update Form, but the Sponsored Links are still on the same page where my book is listed. It doesn't matter if they've corrected it to Jerry instead of Jerrye or listed other book titles on the same page, the links are still there. Go to Amazon's Book Search Page, put in Jerrye Sumrall and you'll see.

I have filled out a second Book Content Update Form and will see what happens. In the meantime, I encourage all authors to check your book page to see what Amazon has put there without your permission.
